Eyjafjallajökull — Island Mountain Glacier. Yes, that's the literal translation. The 2010 eruption beneath this ice cap disrupted air travel across Europe.

A funny Iceland place name t-shirt from the "Iceland, Literally" series, with a minimalist map marking this famous glacier-volcano on the south coast. A souvenir for anyone still practicing the pronunciation. Soft, lightweight unisex tee. Designed in Iceland.

Fit and fabric

Regular unisex fit in a soft, lightweight knit. The fabric is pre-shrunk, with side seams and taped shoulders.

Fabric weight: 4.2 oz/yd² (142 g/m²).

Materials by color

  • Aqua, Orange, Gold, Turquoise, Ocean Blue, Soft Cream, Yellow, Natural, White: 100% combed and ring-spun cotton.
  • Sage: 100% cotton.
  • Heather Ice Blue: 52% combed and ring-spun cotton, 48% polyester.

The fabric can look slightly sheer, particularly in lighter colors.

Care instructions

Turn the tee inside out before washing. Use a cold, gentle machine cycle, mild detergent and similar colors. Skip fabric softener and dry cleaning; use non-chlorine bleach only if needed. Hang to dry or tumble-dry on low. Iron on a cool setting from the reverse, keeping the iron away from the printed design.
